Love Means Sharing the Same Diseases
Married Jumper With Slide couples share more than their homes, cars and finances - they are also likely to have some of the same diseases, experts say. If a spouse suffers from asthma, depression, peptic ulcers, high blood pressure or raised cholesterol levels, the chances are their partner will be afflicted with the same illness. "Partners of people with specific diseases are at increased risk of the disease themselves - at least 70 percent increased risk for asthma, depression and peptic ulcer disease," Julia Hippisley Cox of the University of Nottingham in northern England said. Cox and her team said the most likely reason for the shared diseases was environment. Married couples usually eat the same foods, are exposed to the same allergens and often have similar exercise patterns, all of which contribute to ailments such as allergies, high blood pressure and raised cholesterol. The scientists studied the medical history of 8,000 married couples, aged 30 to 74. "The findings could have implications for targeting screening or disease prevention measures at partners of participants with one of these diseases," Cox added.

Researchers from Inflatable Advertising the University of Chicago asked volunteers to remember simple words.
Many found their memories letting them down towards the end of the day, but the following morning, those who had slept well could recall much more.
Researchers, writing in the journal Nature, said the brain could "rescue" lost memories during the night.
When the brain is first asked to remember something, that memory is laid down in an "unstable" state, meaning that it is possible that it could be lost.
At some point, the brain consolidates those it deems important into a "stable", more permanent state.
However, the Chicago researchers suggested that it was possible for a "stable" memory to be made "unstable" again.
This would mean that memories could be modified then filed away again in the face of new experiences.
The 12 volunteers tested in the experiment were played words created through a speech synthesizer which were purposely difficult to understand.
Initially, the written version of the word was available, but afterwards the volunteers were asked to identify the word from the audio version only.

A full night's sleep? Not everyone needs it
The truism that all adults need at least eight hours of sleep a night for good health should be put to rest by mounting evidence that less may be better.

Still, many sleep experts say lots of adults get too little rest, and that can lead to dangerous health problems.
In the latest report from Japanese researchers, 104,010 adults were followed for about 10 years. At the start, the participants answered questionnaires about their sleep patterns, and about their health, mental health and lifestyle habits, which also can affect survival.
After accounting for all of these factors, adults getting an average of seven hours had the lowest death rates. Surprisingly, less sleep, even as little as four hours a night, didn't significantly increase deaths for men and only lowered survival for women if they averaged less than four hours. But adults who slept longer than seven hours, particularly women, were more likely to die during the 10 years.
Two other major published studies and a dozen smaller ones came to similar conclusions, says psychiatrist Daniel Kripke, a sleep researcher at the University of California-San Diego School of Medicine.
Doctors shouldn't tell all of their patients to get at least eight hours of sleep, he says in an editorial in the journal.
Hormonal changes triggered by darkness or other unknown biological effects from long sleep could be affecting survival, Kripke says.
But short sleepers may suffer other bad effects. In his brief studies, those sleeping four to five and a half hours did poorly on tests that measure memory, clear thinking and the ability to pay attention, "and they did progressively worse as the week went on," says David Dinges of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Adults who slept about seven hours performed best, he says.
Other small studies have found adults who sleep less than six hours may be at higher risk for diabetes and obesity. And sleep deprivation also causes car crashes, Dinges says.
"People should get as many hours sleep as they need to feel rested," Kripke says, adding that there's no proof that shortening sleep will lengthen life. Sleep need is partly genetic and may be determined by other factors that also influence life span, he says.

The Bali Museum

Weather Predict
A film kid Christmas Inflatable crew was on location deep in the desert. One day an old Indian went up to the director and said, "Tomorrow rain." The next day it rained.

A Fine Match
One day a lady china Inflatable Arch saw a mouse running across her kitchen floor. She was very afraid of mouse, so she ran out of the house, got into a bus and went to the shops. There she bought a mousetrap. The shopkeeper said to her, "Put some cheese in it and you will soon catch that mouse."
The lady went home with her mousetrap, but when she looked in her cupboard, she could not find any cheese in it. She did not want to go back to the shop, because it was very late, so she cut a picture of some cheese out of a magazine and put that in the trap.
Surprisingly, the picture of the cheese was quite successful! When the lady came down to the kitchen the next morning she found a picture of a mouse in the trap beside the picture of the cheese!
The lady went home with her mousetrap, but when she looked in her cupboard, she could not find any cheese in it. She did not want to go back to the shop, because it was very late, so she cut a picture of some cheese out of a magazine and put that in the trap.
Surprisingly, the picture of the cheese was quite successful! When the lady came down to the kitchen the next morning she found a picture of a mouse in the trap beside the picture of the cheese!
Cat and Mice
Mrs Brown went to visit one of her friend and carried a small box with holes punched in the top.
" What's in your box?" asked the friend.

The Clever Little Tailor

The two eldest reckoned that as they had already successfully sewn many a delicate stitch, they could hardly go wrong and were bound to succeed here as well; the third was a feckless, giddy young fellow who didn't even know his trade properly but thought he was bound to have luck in this case, for if not, then what luck would he ever have in any other case. The two others said to him: "You'd better just stay at home, you with your feather-brain won't get far." But the young tailor wouldn't be put off, saying that he had set his heart on this enterprise and would manage all right; and off he went, sauntering along as if the whole world belonged to him.
So all three of them appeared before the princess and asked her to put her riddle to them: she would find, they said, that she had met her match this time, because their wits were so sharp that you could thread a needle with them. So the princess said: "I have two kinds of hair on my head, what colours are they?" "That's easy," said the first, "I think they're black and white, like the cloth they call pepper and salt. "The princess said: "You've guessed wrong; let the second of you answer." So the second said: "If it's not black and white, then it's brown and red like my respected father's frock-coat." "Wrong again," said the princess. "Let the third of you answer, I can see he knows it for sure."

World Carnival responds to environment concern
The World adult Yard Christmas Carnival is set to start its second funfare in Beijing at the end of the month.

Last summer the World Carnival left Beijing with a huge scar on the grassland of the International Sculpture Park.
To help the settlement of the mobile amusement park, about 55,000 square meters of greenery was removed in the last year, including nearly 200 big trees.
This year however, the World Carnival has been more careful in settling people's concerns. An environmental evaluation has been done to the whole project and the report approved.

New video game recreates Kennedy assassination
A new video custom Bouncy Castles game allows players to simulate the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy.
The release of "JFK Reloaded" is timed to coincide with the 41st anniversary of Kennedy's murder in Dallas and was designed to demonstrate a lone gunman was able to kill the president.
"It is despicable," said David Smith, a spokesman for Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy, the late president's brother. He was informed of the game on Friday but declined further comment.
Kirk Ewing, managing director of the Scottish firm Traffic Games, which developed the game, said he understood some people would be horrified at the concept, but he insisted he and his team had nothing but respect for Kennedy and for history.
"We believe that the only thing we're exploiting is new technology," said Ewing, a former documentary filmmaker and senior executive with Scottish developer VIS, responsible for games like "State of Emergency." He said he sent Edward Kennedy a letter before the game's release.

The release of "JFK Reloaded" is timed to coincide with the 41st anniversary of Kennedy's murder in Dallas and was designed to demonstrate a lone gunman was able to kill the president.

And having been giving myself over to self-degeneration for over half a year, I sober up a bit, swearing I’ve got to be shaping up quickly and consistently. The fact that my fellow friends and co-workers are actually having a clear plan drove me to get the ball rolling without hesitation. I enjoy this kind of push and would like to push back mutually, finally to the improvement for all of us. On-going study, some say, is a way of life and the actualization of a better person. How much will I benefit from this process remains to be seen, yet I am not giving up halfway in that ceasing study is a surefire way to lose the competition.

I believe a more desired result would be an overhaul of the whole city in terms of education and governmental system. The government never realized its exact role in dealing with this crisis, a crisis arising from the magnitude of serious, deadly and far-reaching accidents and most importantly, from its lack of flexibility in appropriately handling, consoling and appeasing the burning public anger nationwide.
While the public anger was pinned on the provincial government’s poor way in deal with such issues as I have seen and read reams on the internet about netizens condemning and spitting out dissatisfaction, there was one thing still on my mind that I cannot figure out why, that is, Hangzhou’s media was so weak at their role to uncover the truth and push the authority into fast response.
The media’s role was obvious as I can see in my years of career in Guangzhou. I had thought Hangzhou would be more or less the same, if not that much better. But at the end of the day, I was stunned they were not as strong at all. Hangzhou should be more than a collection of overdramatic slogans and propaganda. The only way to regain moral compass of the city, not just for the sake of its mianzi, but for the sake of its own conscience, is to investigate how that happened, and, if necessary, to prosecute those responsible, including whomever in high places.

Ten years of marriage
Marriage is a magical word. The longer you are married, the more you need to treasure cheap Disney Slide it and care it, and never take it for granted.
They say that marriage needs caring and tending just like a young tree. If you do not water it or it does not enjoy plenty of sunshine, it will wither. I think it is a good and colorful metaphor which will always remind me that I need to pay attention to my marriage. I just celebrated my 10th anniversary of wedding, now as I look back, I write down whatever is on mind.

It is always amusing to think of some of the scenes in the past, my wife liked to buy fancy and fashionable clothes, after trying it in front of the mirror, she would ask my opinions of how she looked in the new clothes. I was getting tired of this, every time I would open my eyes widely and gazed at the clothes closely, and then winked, saying jokingly:” How beautiful you are in the new clothes! But you would be more beautiful with nothing on”, she would get angry, chasing and cursing:” you wicked man!"
Now I came to realize that, besides beauty, she has something beautiful inside. Beauty is just skin deep, I know that. But inner beauty never will vanish or fade, it will always shine brilliantly. I felt depressed easily when thing went amiss with me or I had a certain bad luck, but she would always be there to encourage me, telling me to focus on the positive side, to cherish myself and face the setbacks head-on, she even bought some psychology books to read to better comfort me. Sometimes, I couldn't fall asleep at night; she was there to comfort me, rubbing my feet. Strangely enough, my insomnia disappeared. To my great amusement, I began to fall asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow while my wife was constantly woken or kept awake by her trumpeting (snoring) partner! It may be easy to do such these things for a day or two, but it takes patience, perseverance, more importantly, love to stick to it. Now as I am writing down these lines, tears began to stream down my face. Moved? Happy or bittersweet tears? Only I know what it is.

When I have to find a room to rent, I confirm it as soon as I step into it, because of its sunshine and fresh air. Although it doesn’t belong to me, I like it very much. It’s not a big room, but it’s new with two windows. Therefore, there’s often some sunshine on it. It’s on the fifth floor------the top floor of the building, so the air is fresh, and no noise around it.
I try my best to make it comfortable and beautiful. The wall is white, the floor is clean, and the curtain and garderobe is green. It’s full of perfect color combination. The bed is big, so I can put my favourite books on one side of it, making me convenient to take a book to read before sleep. Every day when I drag my exhausted body to the room, a relaxing and calm feeling well up my heart. I will turn on the music, in a sudden the melodious music fill the whole room. Then I will do a thorough washing, make a day’s dust and weariness flee away. I put on my suitable pajamas and go to bed. Before sleeping, I take a book and enjoy the reading, with a comfortable posture.

Yao On Home Court For NBA's first China Games

A practice at the Shanghai city gym was called off because of problems getting the team's luggage. A regular practice was scheduled for Wednesday.
"I'm here on business and I want to play well," said Yao, who was selected for Shanghai's youth team at age 14 and later played for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese professional league.
Yao and the Houston Rockets face the Sacramento Kings in an exhibition game Thursday, and Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy intends to limit his 7-foot-6 center to 22-28 minutes because of the grueling months ahead.
But Van Gundy still hopes to showcase Yao during the first game between NBA teams in China, where basketball has taken a higher profile since Yao became an international star.
"I know he wants to play very, very well here and I want to give his fans the opportunity to see him play," Van Gundy said Tuesday. "I want to play him because he's in his hometown. But I don't want to overplay him, given that it's only the second exhibition game and we have a long season ahead of us."
Yao played 17 minutes in the Rockets' preseason game Sunday at home against Shaquille O'Neal and the Miami Heat. He joined Tracy McGrady and the rest of the Rockets in a light workout Tuesday at their hotel health club.

Reeve went into cardiac arrest Saturday at his home in Westchester County, New York, after developing a serious systemic infection during treatment for a pressure wound. He slipped into a coma and died Sunday afternoon at a hospital near his home.
Reeve's wife, Dana, issued a statement thanking "the millions of fans around the world who have supported and loved my husband over the years."
"He put up with a lot," his mother, Barbara Johnson, told the syndicated television show "The Insider." "I'm glad that he is free of all those tubes."
Reeve first gained renown when he was selected from 200 candidates to play the title character in the 1978 movie "Superman," which was followed by three sequels. But he made a bigger impact on the public consciousness after becoming paralyzed in May 1995, following an equestrian accident in Virginia.
The actor went through months of therapy to train himself to breathe without the continuous aid of a respirator. He then became an advocate for the disabled, lobbying Congress, appearing at the Academy Awards and returning to acting and directing. His name was mentioned by Sen. John Kerry during Friday's presidential debate when the talk turned to stem cell research.
Reeve himself was vocal on the subject. In 2001, while President Bush considered a decision on stem cell research -- he eventually allowed federal funding of research using existing stem cell lines -- Reeve spoke to CNN's John King about the impact of delaying study.
"That would be a big mistake because you could spend the next five years doing research on the adult stem cells and find that they are not capable of doing what we know that embryonic cells can do now," he said. "And five years of unnecessary research to try to create something that we already have would cause -- well, a lot of people are going to die while we wait."

Australia PM Gets Down To Work On Fourth Term
Australia's conservative china Bounce House Inflatable Prime Minister John Howard, handed the most powerful mandate in a generation, got down to work on Monday with reform of telecommunications, labour and media laws high on his agenda.
Howard's Liberal/National coalition crushed centre-left opposition Labor in Saturday's election to win its fourth term and looks set to control both houses of parliament.
"Howard's reform mandate," The Australian newspaper said in a front-page headline.
The coalition government is likely to have 87 seats in the 150-seat lower house of parliament, up from 82 after it 2001 election win. Labor will likely drop back four to 60.
But the biggest surprise was the government's performance in the Senate that could give it control of the upper house, the first time in more than two decades, if it wins 39 seats.
"It was across the board a stronger result than I had dared hope for and I am very grateful and certainly very conscious of the enormous opportunity that it presents to us, but we will be sensible -- we're not going to do anything rash and provocative," Howard told Australian radio on Monday.
"We clearly will have 38 (Senate seats). I'm not certain that our prospects of getting 39 in our own right are all that great. I think that is verging on wishful thinking. If we do have 38 then we will try and talk to the others and see if we can't encourage at least one person to support some of our measures."
The Senate has previously blocked key legislation such as the government's planned privatisation of Australia's dominant phone company, Telstra Corp. Ltd.
Telstra shares started at A$4.83 ($3.57), up from Friday's close of A$4.71, when Australia's stock market opened on Monday.
