Real-life Fighter Christopher Reeve Dies At 52
Christopherair blown Bouncer Inflatables Reeve, who portrayed a hero in the "Superman" films and embodied one as an advocate for spinal cord research after being paralyzed in an accident, has died. He was 52.
Reeve went into cardiac arrest Saturday at his home in Westchester County, New York, after developing a serious systemic infection during treatment for a pressure wound. He slipped into a coma and died Sunday afternoon at a hospital near his home.
Reeve's wife, Dana, issued a statement thanking "the millions of fans around the world who have supported and loved my husband over the years."
"He put up with a lot," his mother, Barbara Johnson, told the syndicated television show "The Insider." "I'm glad that he is free of all those tubes."
Reeve first gained renown when he was selected from 200 candidates to play the title character in the 1978 movie "Superman," which was followed by three sequels. But he made a bigger impact on the public consciousness after becoming paralyzed in May 1995, following an equestrian accident in Virginia.
The actor went through months of therapy to train himself to breathe without the continuous aid of a respirator. He then became an advocate for the disabled, lobbying Congress, appearing at the Academy Awards and returning to acting and directing. His name was mentioned by Sen. John Kerry during Friday's presidential debate when the talk turned to stem cell research.
Reeve himself was vocal on the subject. In 2001, while President Bush considered a decision on stem cell research -- he eventually allowed federal funding of research using existing stem cell lines -- Reeve spoke to CNN's John King about the impact of delaying study.
"That would be a big mistake because you could spend the next five years doing research on the adult stem cells and find that they are not capable of doing what we know that embryonic cells can do now," he said. "And five years of unnecessary research to try to create something that we already have would cause -- well, a lot of people are going to die while we wait."
Christopher Reeve was born September 25, 1952, in New York City, the son of a novelist and a newspaper reporter. He appeared on the soap opera "Love of Life" while attending college at Cornell University; his senior year, he was also one of two students selected to attend New York's prestigious Juilliard School to study under John Houseman.

Central banker seems to rule out rate cut
China’s centralcommercial Mickey Park Combo bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, has cautioned that low interest rates, especially deposit rates, would remove pressures that force financial institutions to finance the real economy.
"China needs to maintain a certain gap between deposit and lending rates so that banks can profit from providing financing to the economy," Zhou said on Friday at the Business Week CEO Forum in Beijing.
He said unduly low deposit rates would make banks’ capital too cheap and put them under less pressure to make returns on that capital by lending.
China’sair blown Yard Christmas central bank sets floors on lending rates and ceilings on deposit rates. To help the Chinese economy navigate the financial crisis, the central bank cut the interest rate five times in four months between September and December last year, pulling down the one-year benchmark interest rate for loans by 216 basis points, to 5.31 percent, and the rate for deposits by 189 basis points, to 2.25 percent.
"I don’t know if it will do good or harm to the financial sector if we make the interest rate even lower," Zhou said.
When interest rates are kept too low, banks concentrate on playing with financial derivatives to seek speculative profits, said Guo Tianyong, a professor of China’s banking industry at Central University of Finance and Economics. "And that would create excessive risk-taking in the financial sector.
"I think Governor Zhou’s remarks dismissed the possibility of China further lowering its interest rate. Next time, when China makes changes to its interest rate, I’m sure it will make it higher."
The country will also coordinate its interest rate hike with the world’s other major economies because a differential between China and other countries, especially the US, might attract money inflows if it is allowed to widen.
Zhou, who was recently named one of the 11 most important Chinese policy makers by Business Week, caused a stir among reporters at Friday’s forum.
One reporter fell into a pond and another fell to the ground as they scrambled to quiz him about possible changes in China’s monetary and exchange rate policy.
The US Federal Reserve pledged this month to keep its benchmark interest rate at a record low for an "extended period" to sustain economic growth.
"The mild outlook for inflation in China means that pressure to raise interest rates is currently quite subdued," said Jing Ulrich, chairman of China Equities and Commodities at JPMorgan. "We believe China will be more likely to tighten monetary policy when the export recovery is on a sounder footing and inflationary pressures are more magnified."
Zhou also warned that China should make wise investments to avoid overcapacity, especially in the manufacturing sector. He said it should also avoid unnecessary infrastructure projects.

Toyota to replace 3.8M gas pedals in US
On Tuesday, Toyota airblown Disney Slideannounced a recall of 110,000 Tundra trucks from the 2000-03 model years to address excessive rust on the vehicle’s frame.
The recall involving the accelerators was Toyota’s largest in the U.S. It was prompted by a high-speed crash in August involving a 2009 Lexus ES350 that killed a California Highway Patrol officer and three members of his family near San Diego. The Lexus hit speeds exceeding 120 mph, struck a sport utility vehicle, launched off an embankment, rolled several times and burst into flames.
Investigatorsgiant Giant Water Slidewith the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration determined that a rubber all-weather floor mat found in the wreckage was slightly longer than the mat that belonged in the vehicle, and could have snared or covered the accelerator pedal.
The government has attributed at least five deaths and two injuries to floor mat-related unintended acceleration in the Toyota vehicles and has received reports of more than 100 incidents in which the accelerator may have become stuck. A Massachusetts-based safety consultant who has investigated the Toyota cases, however, has found more than 2,000 incidents involving 16 deaths and 243 injuries potentially tied to the Toyota gas pedals.
To fix the problem, Transportation officials said dealers will shorten the length of the accelerator pedal on the recalled vehicles and in some cases remove foam from beneath the carpeting near the pedal. They said owners of the ES350, Camry and Avalon would be the first to receive notification because the vehicles are believed to have the highest risk for pedal entrapment.
Toyota plans to install a brake override system on the Camry, Avalon and Lexus ES350, IS350 and IS250 models as an "extra measure of confidence," NHTSA said. The brake override system, commonly called a "smart brake," will ensure the vehicle will stop if both the brake and the accelerator pedals are applied simultaneously.
Dealers will be instructed on how to modify the pedals before the end of the year and will begin shortening the accelerators in 2010. New replacement pedals are expected to be available for some models beginning in April and will be provided even if the vehicles have already received a modified pedal under the recall.
The automaker and government regulators have been discussing a potential fix for several weeks. In late September, Toyota announced the recall and told owners to remove driver’s side floor mats and not replace them until the company had determined a remedy for the problem. The automaker said unhooked floor mats or replacement mats stacked on top of the originals could lead to stuck accelerators.
In early November, Toyota issued a statement saying NHTSA had confirmed "that no defect exists in vehicles in which the driver’s floor mat is compatible with the vehicle and properly secured." But in a rare rebuke, NHTSA accused Toyota of releasing misleading information about the recall, saying removing the mats did not "correct the underlying defect." Toyota said it was not the company’s intention to mislead anyone.
A family member in the runaway Lexus made a frantic 911 call moments before the crash, telling emergency responders that the accelerator was stuck and the driver couldn’t stop the car. The call ended as someone was overheard urging others to hold on and pray, followed by a woman’s scream.
In Japan, Toyota President Akio Toyoda called the fatal crash "extremely regrettable" and offered his "deepest condolences" to the California family.
If a vehicle accelerator pedal becomes stuck and a driver can’t dislodge it, Toyota advises drivers to press on the brake with both feet and then shift the vehicle into neutral, which will disengage the transmission. The automaker says drivers should continue braking until the vehicle comes to a stop.
A driver can also try shutting off the engine or turning the key to the "ACC" position on the ignition. Drivers will not lose control of the steering or the brakes. But once the vehicle is turned off the driver won’t have the benefit of power brakes or power steering. For vehicles that have a start/stop button for the engine, drivers are advised to hold the button for three seconds to turn it off.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself and relax. During this half hour, sometime, I will try to get a better perspective of my life.
Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give to me.

Saluting to Those Unsung Heroes
I watched a television series of unsung heroes the other day. They’re fire-fighters, doctors and migrant workers. Definitely their names are unknown but their stories have touched many hearts.
Let me first share with you thecommercial Inflatable Christmas experiences of fire-fighters. As steel warriors born of flames, fire-fighters are brave, stiff and ready to sacrifice. In the video, I witnessed how fire-fighters proceeded with difficulty to put out the fire on some warehouses. Those warehouses were full of barrels containing benzene.
As we all know, benzene belongs to toxic chemicals. To make things worse, there would be explosion at any time due to the pressure caused by the heat and high temperature. Thus, a life-and-death fight between the fire and fire-fighters occurred. They were divided into several brigades and jointly endeavored to fight against the fire for the sake of people as well as their property.airblown Sale Inflatable During the course of the combat, a number of fire-fighters got infected because of the toxic chemicals.
They felt dizzy and vomited. However, the obstacles didn’t make those heroes retreat or give up. Finally, their constant efforts and strong will power helped them put out the fire thoroughly. Their spirit is quite moving and deserves our respect.
Next it comes to doctors. A doctor is one of the professions that everyone is so familiar with, right? Through the series, I’ve learned that there is a woman whose experience differs from others’. In her hospital, she often sees infants rejected by their parents at the door. Those poor infants as she said have got cerebral palsy. Despite the strong opposition of her family and friends, she determined to adopt any infant who is rejected by parents.
In fact, the doctor herself isn’t rich enough. A lot of neighbors think of her to be mad. But there is a firm belief supporting this woman doctor along the way, and that is “All things in their being are good for something.” She shows special preference for those infants and teaches them to talk. With her love and care, those lucky infants are growing up healthily day by day. She hopes that they can contribute for the society in the future. What a wonderful dream.
Hopefully her dream could come true some day.
Saluting to Those Unsung Heroes
I watched a television series of unsung heroes the other day. They’re fire-fighters, doctors and migrant workers. Definitely their names are unknown but their stories have touched many hearts.

Connection
It is snowing outside. I am a little depressed because of the chilly winter. Looking through the window I can see a mother and her daughter making a snowman. I am deeply moved by their laugh and happiness. It reminds me of my mother.
What is my mother doingwholsale Inflatable Advertisingnow? Is she missing her youngest daughter who lives far away from her? At this moment I miss my mum so much that I remember an unforgettable experience happened years ago. Does she still remember it?
She hugged me tightly without blame. From then on, I believe there is a connection between mother and her kids. Forair blown Air Dancer that snowing night I felt I really heard my mother’s call
When I was ten, there was not VCD or DVD in my village, so we kids were overjoyed when there would be a movie showed for the whole village. A movie was more attractive than candies and new clothes. Whenever and wherever it showed, I always made every effort to persuade my mum to let me go with my fellows. So when I knew there would be a wonderful movie at that snowing night, actively but unusually, I cleaned the dinning table. Then I begged my mum to let me go. She could not stop me. I can not remember what that movie was about but I exactly remember my strong will to watch it. She asked me to put on her woolen scarf and gloves.
Wearing like a penguin, I went to watch the movie. After the movie, my neighbor’s girl suggested that we continue to watch TV in her house. As kids, we always loved doing things together, even having meals. So I agreed without hesitate. I took it for granted that my mum knew where l went and I thought she would not worry about me, therefore I didn’t tell her. I will never forget the moment when I saw my mum in our yard calling my name, with tears on her face. She has looked for me from door to door of every friend of mine. She has run in the snow for nearly two hours, looking for her selfish daughter. Smiling, with tears she looked like a kid when she saw me.

You Make my Life Worth Living
Life is strange---Things usually happen when least expected to. Just like any other girl in this world, I have buried a house Inflatable Tentdream, or you may call it a fantasy, deep inside my heart, namely, meeting my Mr. Right. So I chose to embrace the heaven-sent romance and savor the sweetness and bitterness of it when it beaconed to me.
At first, I did hold reservation about the fact that you were a foreign man who had gone through two divorces plus being old enough to be my uncle while others around me had some doubts about my choice. Overwhelmed with the bias and pressure, I wanted to take the easy way out rather than face it with courage. My belief was shaking. But your passion, consideration and unconditional love made me drowned in the ocean of love and unable to tear myself from it. Whenfor sale Inflatable Arch we were together, everything seemed to fall into oblivion. In the end, in stead of running away from it, I succeeded in shaking off the trammels and strengthening my belief---Hold on to it and strive for a better future.
Time glided on, and I have reaped quite a lot of things in this romance---I’ve learn to make compromise; I’ve learn to make allowance for the other; I’ve learned to grow from innocence to maturity. More importantly, I have found my Prince Charming in life.
Our first meeting happened on a street in a golden season, unexpectedly. At that moment, I was selling newspaper when you passed, whose foreign face captured my attention. I teased you, asking ‘Newspaper’? The gentleman just uttered a few words, ‘No, thank you’. From then on, we met a couple of times and exchange a few friendly messages. Till one day, you came over and started a conversation with me and passed me your business card. Here it goes! That’s how our friendship began! We kept in touch by messages until you confessed your feeling for me, which kept growing day by day. On October 22nd, our hearts and souls were tied together.

Kung Fu Panda is a new animated film of DreamWorks, which is set in ancient China and describes how a panda tries buy Inflatable Tunnelto realize his dream. In terms of the contents, it seems that there is nothing negative in the film. Nevertheless, since its arrival in China about two months ago, criticism has never stopped being heard.
To have my own point of view, I also watched Kung Fu Panda, in which, though, what they criticize did not come into my eyes. By contrast, I saw a hardworking animated panda and good comprehension of Chinese tradition and culture in the westerner-made film.

Free Translation on the Internet
Summery: The prevalence of online free translation cannot be ignored nowadays. As a translator with 8-year experience, I resort to the Net whenever I meet with an obstacle in translation. It’s not only because it’s an instant way to find out a suggestion, but also because of its high efficiency.
Obviously, the Net is becoming a universal medium, which provides an immediate access to such an incredibly rich store of free translation resource, which includes a rich bank of glossary. The perfect recall of silicon memory can be an enormous boon to thinking and translating, but the boon comes at a price. The media theorist Marshall McLuhan (1960s) pointed out media are not just passive channels of information. They supply the stuff of thought, but they also shape the process of thought. And what the online free translation resource seems to be doing is chipping away at my capacity for concentration and contemplation. The increasing reliance on the online free translation make my minds get used to the way the Net distributes information: in a swiftly moving stream of particles.
The Internet has altered my mental habits when I work on a translation project. My concentration often starts to drift after two or three pages. I get fidgety, lost the thread, and begin looking for something else to do. The contemplation that used to come naturally has become a struggle. My thinking has taken on a “staccato” quality, reflecting the way I quickly scans short passages of bilingual text from many free translation sources online.
I worried that a style of reading promoted by the Net, a style that puts “efficiency” and “immediacy” above all else, may be weakening our capacity for the kind of deep reading and translation. In this airblown Inflatable Bouncemoney-worshipping world, academic excellence seems to have been relegated to a role of secondary importance. No matter how hard I tried to tell her that she deserved better, she didn't believe me. Her self-respect seemed to have disappeared.
I tried to convince her that she was ruining her future and heading for big trouble. I felt like I was getting nowhere[毫无进展]. I just couldn't believe that she really thought it was acceptable to hang with a bunch of losers, especially her boyfriend.
By the time she left, I was really worried about her and exhausted[疲惫] by the experience. It had been so frustrating[灰心的], I had come close to telling her several times during the weekend that maybe we had just grown too far apart to continue our friendship - but I didn't. I put the power of friendship to the ultimate[最后的] test. We'd been friends for far too long. I had to hope that she valued me enough to know that I was trying to save her from hurting herself. I wanted to believe that our friendship could conquer[克服] anything.
A few days later, she called to say that she had thought long and hard about our conversation, and then she told me that she had broken up with her boyfriend. I just listened on the other end of the phone with tears of joy running down my face. It was one of the truly rewarding[值得的] moments in my life. Never had I been so proud of a friend.(by Danielle Fishel)

Ammie Reddick from East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, was only 18 months old when she had the accident that has scarred her for life. Today, age 17, Ammie can only ever remember being a burned person with scars; pain is a permanent[持久的] part of her body. She still has to have two further skin grafts[移植]. Yet she is a confident, outgoing[开朗的] teenager who offers inspiration[鼓舞] and hope to other young burns victims[受害者].
Ammie's parents Ruby, a funeral director[葬礼承办人], and Gibby, a policeman, have been a tremendous[极大的] support. "They told me if people had a problem with my burns, the problem was theirs not mine," says Ammie. "They taught me to cope[应付] with other people's reactions and constantly reminded me I was valued and loved." Ammie's positive philosophy[积极人生观] means she is now in demand with burns organisations, helping younger patients build their self-esteem[自尊] to live with permanent[持久的] scars[伤痕].
One Hour Of Time
A man came home from work late again, tired and irritated[烦躁的], to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the person Inflatable Tentdoor. "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
"Yeah, sure, what is it?" replied the man.
"Daddy, how much money do you make an hour?"
"That's none of your business. What makes you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
"I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" pleaded the little boy.
"If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour."
"Oh," the little boy replied, head bowed[弯下脑袋].
Looking up, he said, "Daddy, may I borrow $10.00 please?"
The father was furious[生气的]. "If the only reason you wanted to know how much money I make is just so you can borrow some to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you're being so selfish. I work long, hard hours everyday and don't have time for such childish games."
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even madder about the little boy's questioning. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money. After an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think he may have been a littlecompany Inflatable Arch hard on his son. "No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, may be I was too hard on you earlier," said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took my aggravation[恼怒] out on you. Here's that $10.00 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, beaming[愉快的]. "Oh, thank you daddy" he yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow, he pulled out some more crumpled up[摺皱的] bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at the man. "Why did you want more money if you already had some? " the father grumbled[抱怨].

"Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?"

But if you do decide to use it, what would you do with it? How would you play the game? Would you plan and plan before you ever wrote a word? Would your plans be so extensive [广阔、宏大]that you never even got to the writing? Or would you take the pen in hand, plunge[把…投入] right in and just do it, struggling to keep up with the twists[旋涡] and turns of the torrents[急流] of words that take you where they take you? Would you write cautiously[谨慎的] and carefully, as if the pen might run dry the next moment, or would you pretend or believe (or pretend to believe) that the pen will write forever and proceed accordingly?

Beautiful Smile and Love
The poor are very wonderful people. One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. And one of them was sales Inflatable Slidein a most terrible condition, and I told the sisters: You take care of the other three. I take care of this one who looked worse.
So I did for her all that my love can do. I put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand as she said just the words “thank you” and she died. I could not help but examine my conscience[良心]before her and I asked what would I say if I wasfor sale Inflatable Toys in her place. And my answer was very simple. I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself. I would have said I am hungry, that I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something, but she gave me much more-she gave me her grateful love. And she died with a smile on her face.
As did that man whom we picked up from the drain[阴沟、下水道], half eaten with worms, and we brought him to the home. “I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die like an angel, loved and cared for.” And it was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that, who could die like that without blaming anybody, without cursing anybody, without comparing cheap Inflatable Obstacleanything. Like an angel-this is the greatness of our people. And that is why we believe what Jesus had said: I was hungry, I was naked, I was homeless, I was unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and you did it to me.

Dad
The first memory I have of him — of anything, really — is his strength. It was in the late afternoon in a house undercompany Inflatable Arch construction near ours. The unfinished wood floor had large, terrifying holes whose yawning[张大嘴] darkness I knew led to nowhere good. His powerful hands, then age 33, wrapped all the way around my tiny arms, then age 4, and easily swung[摇摆] me up to his shoulders to command all I surveyed.

We have also been reminded, in V-J Day observances last weekend, of the good that comes when men and women join together to combat the forces of tyranny and build a better world.
We have seen peace prevail in most places for a half century. We have avoided another world war.
But we have not solvedperson inflatableolder, deeply-rooted problems that continue to diminish the potential of half the world's population.
Now it is time to act on behalf of women everywhere.
If we take bold steps to better the lives of women, we will be taking bold steps to better the lives of children and families too.
Families rely on mothers and wives for emotional support and care; families rely on women for labor in the home; and increasingly, families rely on women for income needed to raise healthy children and care for other relatives.
As long as discrimination and inequities remain so commonplace around the world -- as long as girls and women are valued less, red less, fed last, overworked, underpaid, not schooled and subjected to violence in and out of their homes -- the potential of the human family to create a peaceful, prosperous world will not be realized.
Let this Conference be our -- and the world's -- call to action.
And let us heed the call so that we can create a world in which every woman is treated with respect and dignity, every boy and girl is loved and cared for equally, and every family has the hope of a strong and stable future.
Thank you very much.
May God bless you, your work and all who will benefit from it

Hillary: Women's rights are human rights Five
It is a violation of human rights when individual women are raped in their own communities and when thousands of women are subjected to rape as a tactic or prize of war.
It is a violation of humanwholesale Inflatable Toysrights when a leading cause of death worldwide along women ages 14 to 44 is the violence they are subjected to in their own homes.
It is a violation of human rights when women are denied the right to plan their own families, and that includes being forced to have abortions or being sterilized against their will.
If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, it is that human rights are women's rights -- and women's rights are human rights. Let us not forget that among those rights are the right to speak freely -- and the right to be heard.
Women must enjoy the right to participate fully in the social and political lives of their countries if we want freedom and democracy to thrive and endure.
It is indefensible that many women in nongovernmental organizations who wished to participate in this conference have not been able to attend -- or have been prohibited from fully taking part.
Let me be clear. Freedom means the right of people to assemble, organize and debate openly. It means respecting the views of those who may disagree with the views of their governments. It means not taking citizens away from their loved ones and jailing they, mistreating them, or denying them their freedom or dignity because of the peaceful expression of their ideas and opinions.
In my country, we recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of women's suffrage. It took 150 years after the signing of our Declaration of Independence for women to win the right to vote.
It took 72 years of organized struggle on the part of many courageous women and men. It was one of America's most divisive philosophical wars. But it was also a bloodless war. Suffrage was achieved without a shot being fired.

The international community has long acknowledged -- and recently affirmed at Vienna -- that both women and men are entitled to a range of protections and personal freedoms, from the right of personal security to the right to determine freely the number and spacing of the children they bear.
No one should be forced to remain silent for fear of religious or political persecution, arrest, abuse or torture.
Tragically, women are most often the ones whose human rights are violated.
Even in the late 20th century, the rape of women continues to be used as an instrument of armed conflict. Women and children make up a large majority of the world's refugees. When women are excluded from the political process, they become even more vulnerable to abuse.
I believe that, on the eve of a newbusiness Inflatable Slidemillennium, it is time to break our silence. It is time for us to say here in Bejing, and the world to hear, that it is no longer acceptable to discuss women's rights as separate from human rights.
These abuses have continued because, for too long, the history of women has been a history of silence. Even today, there are those who are trying to silence our words.
The voices of this conference and of the women at Huairou must be heard loud and clear:
It is a violation of human rights when babies are denied food, or drowned, or suffocated, or their spines broken, simply because they are born girls.
It is a violation of human rights when woman and girls are sold into the slavery of prostitution.
It is a violation of human rights when women are doused with gasoline, set on fire and burned to death because their marriage dowries are deemed too small.

As an American, I want to speak up for those women in my own country梬omen who are raising children on the minimum wage, women who can抰 afford health care or child care, women whose lives are threatened by violence, including violence in their own homes.
I want to speak up for mothers giant Inflatable Castlewho are fighting for good schools, safe neighborhoods, clean air, and clean airwaves; for older women, some of them widows, who have raised their families and now find their skills and life experiences are not valued in the workplace; for women who are working all night as nurses, hotel clerks, and fast food cooks so that they can be at home during the day with their kids; and for women everywhere who simply don抰 have time to do everything they are called upon to do each day.
Speaking to you today, I speak for them, just as each of us speaks for women around the world who are denied the chance to go to school, or see a doctor, or own property, or have a say about the direction of their lives, simply because they are women. The truth is that most women around the world work both inside and outside the home, usually by necessity.
We need to understand that there is no formula for how women should lead their lives.
That is why we must respect the choices that each woman makes for herself and her family. Every woman deserves the chance to realize her own God-given potential.
We also must recognize that women will never gain full dignity until their human rights are respected and protected.
Our goals for this Conference, to strengthen families and societies by empowering women to take greater control over their destinies, cannot be fully achieved unless all governments -- here and around the world -- accept their responsibility to protect and promote internationally recognized human rights.

Hillary: Women's rights are human rights two
That is why every woman, every man, every child, every family, and every nation on our planet has a stake in the discussion that takes place here.
Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families. Over the past two-and-a half years, I have had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my own country and around the world.
I have met new mothers in Jojakarta adult Inflatable Bounceand Indonesia, who come together regularly in their village to discuss nutrition, family planning, and baby care.
I have met working parents in Denmark who talk about the comfort they feel in knowing that their children can be cared for in creative, safe, and nurturing after-school centers.
I have met women in South Africa who helped lead the struggle to end apartheid and are now helping build a new democracy.
I have met with the leading women of the Western Hemisphere who are working every day to promote literacy and better health care for the children of their countries.
I have met women in India and Bangladesh who are taking out small loans to buy milk cows, rickshaws, thread and other materials to create a livelihood for themselves and their families.
I have met doctors and nurses in Belarus and Ukraine who are trying to keep children alive in the aftermath of Chernobyl.
The great challenge of this Conference is to give voice to women everywhere whose experiences go unnoticed, whose words go unheard.
Women comprise more than half the word's population. Women are 70% of the world's poor, and two-thirds of those are not taught to read and write.
Women are the primary caretakers for most of the world's children and elderly. Yet much of the work we do is not valued -- not by economists, not by historians, not by popular culture, not by government leaders.
At this very moment, as we sit here, women around the world are giving birth, raising children, cooking meals, washing clothes, cleaning houses, planting crops, working on assembly lines, running companies, and running countries.
Women also are dying from diseases that should have been prevented or treated. They are watching their children succumb to malnutrition caused by poverty and economic deprivation. They are being denied the right to go to school by their own fathers and brothers. They are being forced into prostitution, and they are being barred from the band lending office and banned from the ballot box.
Those of us who have the opportunity to be here have the responsibility to speak for those who could not.

Hillary: Women's rights are human rights One
Mrs. Mongella, Under Secretary Kittani, distinguished delegates and guests:
I would like to thank the Secretary General of the United Nations for inviting me to be a part of the United Nations Fourth World Conference of Women. This is truly a celebration -- a celebration of the contributions women make in every aspect of life: in the home, on the job, in their communities, as mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, learners, workers, citizens and leaders.
It is also a coming together, much of the way women come together ever day in every country.
We come together in fields and in factories. We come together in village markets and supermarkets. We come together in living rooms and board rooms.
Whether it is while playing with our children in the park, or washing clothes in a river, or taking a break at the office water cooler, we come together and talk about our aspirations and concern. And time and again, our talk turns to our children and our families. However different we may be, there is far more that unites us than divides us. We share a common future, and are here to find common ground so that we may help bring new dignity and respect to women and girls all over the world. By doing this, we bring new strength and stability to families as well.
By gathering in Beijing, we are focusing world attention on issues that matter most in the lives of women and their families: access to education, health care, jobs and credit, the chance to enjoy basic legal and human rights and participate fully in the political life of their countries.
There are some who question the reason for this conference.
Let them listen to the voices child Inflatable Products of women in their homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
There are some who wonder whether the lives of women and girls matter to economic and political progress around the globe.
Let them look at the women gathered here and at Huairou -- the homemakers, nurses, teachers, lawyers, policymakers, and women who run their own businesses.
It is conferences like this that compel governments and people everywhere to listen, look and face the world's most pressing problems.
Wasn't it after the women's conference in Nairobi ten years ago that the world focused for the first time on the crisis of domestic violence?
Earlier today, I participated in a World Health Organization forum, where government officials, NGOs, and individual citizens are working on ways to address the health problems of women and girls.
Tomorrow, I will attend a gathering of the United Nations Development Fund for Women. There, the discussion will focus on local -- and highly successful -- programs that give hard-working women access to credit so they can improve their own lives and the lives of their families.
What we are learning around the world is that if women are healthy and educated, their families will flourish. If women are free from violence, their families will flourish. If women have a chance to work and earn as full and equal partners in society, their families will flourish.
And when families flourish, communities and nations will flourish.
That is why every woman, every man, every child, every family, and every nation on our planet has a stake in the discussion that takes place here.

I have a Dream Three
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is our hope. Thiscompany Sale Inflatableis the faith with which I return to the South. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.
This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."
And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California!
But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

I have a Dream Three
We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
The marvelous new cheap Inflatable Toysmilitancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.
We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.
I am not unmindful that some for sale Inflatable Obstacleof you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.
